Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 in Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation living in Atlanta starting with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. The Robertses' father was interested in theater from a young age. As a student at Emory University in 1952 he performed in shows on campus as well as in other parts of Atlanta. He joined the Air Force in 1953. While working in Biloxi Mississippi, he appeared in an military production starring Betty Lou Bredemus who was as well in the air force. They married in 1955. Their first baby son Eric Anthony, was born in 1956. Walter and wife left the Air Force in 1957, at which time they were enrolled Walter in Tulane University. Walter started his work at Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. In 1964 Walter and Betty Lou began production on the local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they designed and funded. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. The program ran for about six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also known as Lisa) as well as Julia (also called Julie) during this period.
