Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14 years old. As well as BJJ classes She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. Ladd returned to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia B beghian and Maddy Simmons prior to facing Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia had a superior record to Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's amateur records were marred. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to start her journey as a pro. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the one round with a TKO. Invicta Fc 16 was her first fight in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen continued to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, however Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina with a ground-and-- - pounded her for a TKO victory in the 2nd round. In her next fight, she beat Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd defeated Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and earned a performance of the night bonus. Her first major fight came in her next fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense fight back and forth. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The decision was made unanimously against her.
