Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous as the character Buffy Summers. Her other characters include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the Telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show with similar name, Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. The native of California, Swinson began acting at a very young age. Her career began acting in commercials as an actress. She made her screen debut on the episode of NBCs show It's Your Time in 1984. The actress made her debut on the big screen two years laterin the romance comedy Pretty in Pink. She is known for her hairdo and breathless voiceSwan is now playing minor characters over the last few years. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category for 1989.
