Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For this part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was a spectator as her mother Anne was in the church stage. She was awed by performance and theater began as a young girl.
Fischer was a theater actress who was trained in her home country. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's first world premiere.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey began an online podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has been a huge success, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads over its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She is also co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office: From Two Best Friends there. This autobiography is about their friendship and the work they did for The Office.
